Chelsea sits on the old Route 66 alignment in northern Rogers County, and we have been driving up there for service calls since the company started. It is close enough that a call from Chelsea is the same as a call from the other side of Claremore.

Most of the work up here is on the rural side: wells, septic systems, water and gas lines running a long way from the road, and land that needs clearing before someone can build on it. We bring the plumbing truck and the excavator on the same trip when both are needed.

Chelsea is about 20 miles north of our shop, straight up Route 66.

The houses in Chelsea

Older homes along Route 66 and the streets around downtown, plus rural homes and acreage north and east of town. Many are on wells and septic systems. The older houses tend to need repiping and drain work.

What the weather does to pipes here

Hard freezes hit exposed well lines and pressure tanks first. The red clay out here swells and shrinks with the seasons, and that movement is hard on buried pipes and septic lateral lines.
